Leukosía ► Leucosia is a famous mermaid from Greco-Roman mythology. She is described as the daughter of the river god Achelous and the muse Calliope. She is the sister of Parthenope ("she who has the face of a girl") and Ligée or Ligéia ("she who utters a piercing cry"). Its name means "the white creature". ► Leucosie est une célèbre sirène de la mythologie greco-romaine. On l'y décrit comme la fille du dieu-fleuve Achéloüs et de la muse Calliope. Elle est la sœur de Parthénope ("celle qui a un visage de jeune fille") et de Ligée ou Ligéia ("celle qui pousse un cri perçant"). Son nom veut dire "la blanche créature".
